The Initiative 24 campaign is making great progress in its effort to reach the ballot. They report that so far, more than 46,000 signatures have been gathered. The campaign, run by Citizens for Sensible Law Enforcement, has until July 6 to get the required 116,283 to have its constitutional amendment placed on the November 2012 general election ballot.

Voter Power's Portland Patient Resource Center has new Saturday hours! We will be open Saturdays from 1pm-5pm.

Voter Power's Eugene Patient Resource Center is now open Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Hours of operation are:

Willamette Week reported on June 17th, 2011 ("Medical Marijuana Activists Up in Arms Over the Proposed Doubling of Fees") that:

The proposed state health budget (PDF) would double the yearly fee for a medical-marijuana card from $100 to $200. Licensed growers for the first time would be required to pay a $200 fee. And proposed new rules would slash the number of low-income patients allowed to pay a reduced $20 fee.
